Privacy Policy

This policy describes information collected during a visit, the purposes for which it is used, and the limited situations in which another service may receive it. By continuing to use Saguache County Court Docket, you accept these practices.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A query entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider handles the request and its results under its own policy. We do not keep a local log of the names or case numbers entered there.

Messages and Contact Submissions

An email may be retained long enough to answer and maintain the related correspondence. It is not shared outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Data We Gather Automatically

Normal server and analytics logs may collect these technical details when a page loads:

  • The IP address assigned to your device
  • Which browser you are using and its version
  • Your device type and operating system
  • The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
  • The site that sent you here, if any
  • Timestamps for each page view

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small device files that support traffic measurement and site functions. Analytics services combine visit data to show which resources are used and where performance fails. Browser controls can block cookies, although some features may then behave differently.

What We Do With This Data

  • Route a query to the selected outside search service
  • Maintain security, uptime, and page speed
  • Measure which resources are useful
  • Diagnose errors and broken features
  • Support advertising relevant to a visit

No Court-Record Data on File

Saguache County Court Docket does not hold, compile, or sell a database of case files or personal court information. It identifies public routes to the Judicial Branch calendar, CoCourts, municipal clerks, and the Clerk of Court at Saguache Combined Court. Visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies operate the embedded search tools. Their privacy terms, retention periods, and sharing rules apply to information submitted to them. Review the provider’s policy before running a query because this policy does not govern its systems.

Links to Other Websites

Links lead to Judicial Branch pages, municipal offices, public-record resources, and outside search tools. Once a link is followed, the destination’s privacy policy governs the visit. Read those terms before providing personal details.

An advertising service may use its own technology to measure activity across sites and select ads. That processing occurs under the advertising provider’s rules.

Who Might See Your Data

We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be available to:

  • Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
  • Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
  • Ad networks that place ads on our pages
  • Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it

How We Protect Your Data

Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards protect information in our control. No internet service can promise absolute security, so a breach or unauthorized event can never be ruled out.

Users Under 18

This resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect a minor’s personal information. A verified request concerning such data will be handled promptly.

Your Data Rights

Applicable law may provide rights to access, correct, delete, or limit use of personal data. The Colorado Open Records Act, C.R.S. §§24-72-200.1 et seq., concerns qualifying governmental records, while Chief Justice Directive 05-01 governs access to Colorado court records. Those public-record rules do not make this private website a court-record custodian. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:

  • Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
  • Have us fix information that is wrong
  • Request that we erase your data
  • Opt out of certain kinds of data processing

Updates to This Policy

This policy may be revised as services or legal duties change. A revised version takes effect when posted with its new effective date.
